Cross-site scripting via selectedcontent browser re-cloning

Cross-site scripting in Cure53 DOMPurify 3.4.4 allows remote attackers to execute script via crafted HTML sanitized as a string. DOMPurify's default allowlist admits selectedcontent, and browser re-cloning refreshes an already-walked subtree from option content after sanitization, returning an unsanitized event handler. Exploitation requires an application to sanitize attacker-controlled HTML through the string-input path and insert the returned string into a page; Chromium and WebKit execute the re-cloned payload.
