Member-level settings overwrite via missing owner-role check
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Missing authorization in PraisonAI Platform before 0.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite workspace metadata and settings. The PATCH /workspaces/{workspace_id} route applies the default member-level require_workspace_member gate, then WorkspaceService.update writes the supplied name, description, and free-form settings JSON without an owner-role check. Any member of the target workspace can alter its stored configuration, while downstream effects depend on which settings keys the deployment consumes.
