Loopback data disclosure via alternate host encodings
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
SSRF in PraisonAI spider_tools before 4.6.40 and praisonaiagents before 1.6.40 allows local users to read loopback HTTP responses. The _validate_url host blocklist compares only selected literal names and addresses, so scrape_page passes alternate loopback encodings to requests.Session.get. Exploitation requires influence over a URL supplied to scrape_page, crawl, or extract_text and exposes responses from HTTP services bound only to loopback.
