Information disclosure via unchecked clipboard insertion
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Missing authorization in the Clipboard backend component of TYPO3 CMS allows remote authenticated users to disclose protected records and files. The Clipboard::cleanCurrent method retained supplied references after checking only existence, without validating table-select, page-show, or file-read permissions. Any backend account able to submit clipboard entries can learn protected record and file details, while separately permission-checked copy and move operations remain unavailable.
