Authenticated privilege escalation via generic entity writes
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
Improper authorization in Apache OFBiz before 24.09.07 allows remote authenticated users to escalate privileges through updateFeatures requests. The controller invoked the generic updateOrRemove service, which accepted caller-controlled entity and primary-key field names and created or removed matching database records. A low-privileged account is required; successful requests can alter authorization-relevant records and obtain higher application privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
