Application crash via unbounded XML encryption parsing

Denial of service in Microsoft .NET XML processing allows remote attackers to crash applications through crafted XML encryption data. The System.Security.Cryptography.Xml and System.Xml paths parse XML encryption structures without bounding resource allocation, causing excessive consumption or an application crash. Exploitation requires a network-facing application to parse attacker-controlled encrypted XML; confidentiality and integrity remain unaffected.
