Stored XSS via unescaped chartid shortcode output
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Stored XSS in the Common Ninja Charts & Graphs WordPress plugin 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The shortcode handler places the attacker-controlled chartid attribute into generated embed markup without sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the stored script executes in the affected site's origin whenever a user views the injected page.
