Privileged API access via unvalidated service.name slug
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Injection in OpenTelemetry Collector Contrib's Sentry exporter before 0.154.0 allows remote attackers to access Sentry APIs via OTLP spans. GetProjectKeys interpolates the sender-controlled service.name slug into a Sentry API URL without runtime validation, then attaches the operator bearer token. The Collector must accept attacker-supplied telemetry and use a scoped Sentry token; access remains within that Sentry organization but includes token-authorized endpoints and telemetry redirection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
