Authenticated session token theft via writable Istio routes

Incorrect privilege assignment in Kubeflow Community Distribution before 26.03-rc.1 allows remote authenticated users to steal session tokens. The kubeflow-edit ClusterRole grants write access to networking.istio.io, letting a namespace contributor bind a crafted VirtualService to the shared Kubeflow Gateway and route a browser-loaded asset to an attacker-controlled pod. Contributor access in any namespace, or authenticated access when Automatic Profile Creation is enabled, is sufficient; a victim must load the routed asset, exposing the session cookie and permitting account and data takeover.
