Private-file disclosure and removal via unchecked source authorization
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Admidio before 5.0.10 allows remote authenticated users to move and read files from restricted folders. The move_save handler in modules/documents-files.php accepts an independent file_uuid, while File::moveToFolder checks upload rights only on the destination folder. Upload permission on any Documents folder is sufficient to relocate a private file into a controlled folder, exposing its contents and removing it from its original location.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
