Forced password reset via missing CSRF validation
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Admidio before 5.0.10 allows remote attackers to reset any user's password through an administrator's browser. The send_login branch in modules/registration.php accepts a GET request and calls User::sendNewPassword without validating a CSRF token, replacing the selected account's stored password hash. Exploitation requires a logged-in registration administrator to visit an attacker-controlled page, and it locks the selected user out without disclosing the replacement password to the attacker.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
