Cross-folder file deletion via mismatched folder authorization
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Authorization bypass in Admidio before 5.0.10 allows remote authenticated users to delete files from folders where they have view-only access. In modules/documents-files.php, the top-level check authorizes the supplied folder_uuid while file_delete loads file_uuid from its real folder and checks only view rights. Exploitation requires upload rights on one folder and view rights on the target folder, and it permanently removes the selected file from storage.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
