Processing interruption via undersized LVM metadata CRC
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in NanaZip 3.0.1000.0 and later before 6.0.1698.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt processing via a crafted LVM image. CHandler::Open2 allocates the attacker-controlled metadata size, then computes CRC-32 over a fixed 508-byte span beginning at offset four without requiring a 512-byte buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the image; with Page Heap enabled, the overread reaches a guard page and crashes the process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
