CVE-2026-47223Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via AVB salt length overflow

Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026

Heap out-of-bounds read in M2-Team NanaZip allows remote attackers to crash the process by opening a crafted AVB image. In AvbHandler's hashtree descriptor path, 32-bit addition wraps during the pos + salt_len bounds check, so CByteBuffer::CopyFrom passes an attacker-controlled length to memcpy and reads beyond the vbmeta heap buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted .avb or .img file; it causes a deterministic crash, and no write primitive is reported.
