Unauthenticated server crash via unhandled multi-search exception
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Denial of service in the /multi_search endpoint in Typesense before 29.1 and 30.0 through 30.1 allows remote attackers to crash the server. Request processing leaves a crafted-input exception unhandled, terminating the server process, but published material does not identify the malformed field or failing code path. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a successful request interrupts search service until the process is restarted; confidentiality and integrity remain unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
