Authenticated script injection via unchecked workspace ownership
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Frappe Framework before 16.18.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject persistent scripts into private workspaces. The save_page function loaded a caller-supplied Workspace and saved its content without checking that its for_user owner matched the session user. Any authenticated user could overwrite another user's private workspace; script execution required a victim to render the modified workspace.
