Server-memory disclosure via unchecked cache read length
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in ImageMagick before 6.9.13-48 and 7.1.2-23 allows attackers connected to its cache service to read server memory. The distributed-cache read handlers trust a client-supplied byte length without checking it against the requested region dimensions and per-pixel size. Access requires a reachable magick -distribute-cache process; an oversized read can expose adjacent heap contents or crash that process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
