Sandbox escape in Patrik Simek vm2 before 3.11.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary host code through crafted JavaScript. The lib/bridge.js apply trap unwraps a host object and forwards indirect calls to the host proto setter, severing the TypeError prototype chain so a later error exposes the host Function constructor. Exploitation requires an embedding application to run attacker-controlled code in a VM sandbox; successful escape grants the Node.js process's host privileges.
