Unauthenticated file read via path containment bypass
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Path traversal in Agent Zero before 1.15 allows remote attackers to read image-extension files outside the agent workspace. The /api/image_get handler uses the requested path directly after checking only its extension, while its directory-containment check is disabled. No authentication is required; exposure is limited to image-extension files readable by the process, including symlink targets and mounted volumes.
