Authenticated hang or repeatable crash
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Denial of service in affected Oracle MySQL Server and MySQL Cluster releases allows remote authenticated users to cause a hang or repeatable crash. Oracle identifies the Server Optimizer as the affected component but has not disclosed the optimizer operation or input condition that triggers the failure. Low-privileged MySQL Protocol access is sufficient in MySQL Server 8.4.0 through 8.4.10 and 9.7.0 through 9.7.1, and MySQL Cluster 8.0.0 through 8.0.47, 8.4.0 through 8.4.10, and 9.7.0 through 9.7.1; impact is limited to service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
