Integrity compromise via forged JAR signatures
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Improper signature verification in Oracle Java SE and GraalVM Libraries allows remote attackers to alter data through forged signed JARs. The JAR verifier accepts existentially forged CMS signatures, allowing attacker-controlled archive content to retain a trusted-signature result. Reachability requires an application or sandboxed client to process attacker-supplied data through the affected Libraries APIs; the bounded impact is unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification of accessible data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
