Unauthenticated runtime hang or repeatable crash
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Denial of service in Oracle Java SE Scripting 8u491, 8u491-perf, and 11.0.31 allows remote attackers to hang or crash the runtime. Oracle has not disclosed the vulnerable Scripting API, the faulty operation, or the input pattern that triggers resource exhaustion. Reachability requires a service that supplies untrusted data to the affected APIs or a sandboxed Java deployment that loads untrusted code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
