Sandbox escape via incorrect Telemetry boundary check
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Sandbox escape in Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird on affected release lines allows remote attackers to cross the content sandbox. The Telemetry component applies an incorrect boundary condition, but Mozilla's restricted bug record and advisories do not disclose the affected function, input, or comparison. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled browser-like content; affected versions are Firefox before 149, Firefox ESR before 115.34 and before 140.9, and Thunderbird before 149 and before 140.9.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
