Unauthenticated takeover via unprotected RMI operations
Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026
Missing authentication in Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 allows remote attackers to take over the service via RMI. The Client Bundle accepts critical RMI operations without authenticating the caller; Oracle has not disclosed the affected class or method. Network reachability to RMI is sufficient, with no credentials or user interaction, and compromise can affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability beyond the Capture security scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
