Host file writes via remountable virtiofs shares

Improper access control in BoxLite before 0.9.0 allows remote attackers to write host files through read-only virtiofs shares. BoxLite drops the read_only flag before calling krun_add_virtiofs and grants guest containers CAP_SYS_ADMIN, so sandboxed code can remount a share read-write. Exploitation requires code execution inside a Box with a read-only host directory mounted; successful writes can plant code or alter credentials on the host.
