Credentialed cross-origin data access via reflected Origin
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
CORS misconfiguration in RustFS before 1.0.0-beta.2 allows remote attackers to read credentialed S3 responses through a victim's browser. ConditionalCorsLayer reflects an arbitrary Origin and emits Access-Control-Allow-Credentials when RUSTFS_CORS_ALLOWED_ORIGINS is unset. Exploitation requires browser reachability to the listener, a visit to attacker-controlled content, and ambient credentials for the RustFS origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
