Unauthorized resource access via caveat hash collisions
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
Improper authorization in AuthZed SpiceDB 1.15.0 through 1.51.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain unintended resource access. Ambiguous serialization in caveat-context hashing lets distinct nested-list contexts collide and reuse the same cached dispatch result. Exploitation requires a nested-list caveat and either paired CheckBulkPermissions items or LookupResources v3 evaluations whose contexts produce opposite authorization results.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
