API account impersonation via plaintext token storage
Published Jun 11, 2026 · Updated Jun 11, 2026
Cleartext credential storage in SolidInvoice before 2.3.17 allows attackers with database read access to obtain every user's API token. ApiTokenManager::create writes the raw 64-character token to api_tokens.token, and ApiTokenRepository authenticates it with a plaintext equality query. Database read access is required; exposed tokens permit user impersonation and API data access or modification, but no service interruption is reported.
