Document disclosure and deletion via unfiltered control headers
Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026
Header injection in Apache Camel through 4.14.7, 4.15.0 through 4.18.2, and 4.19.0 through 4.20.0 allows remote attackers to alter CouchDB operations. The camel-couchdb producer trusts CouchDbMethod and CouchDbId Exchange headers that HttpHeaderFilterStrategy leaves untouched because their names lack the Camel prefix. Any route placing an HTTP consumer before a CouchDB producer exposes the issue; an unauthenticated client can read or delete arbitrary documents with the producer's database access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
