Document disclosure, tampering, and deletion via header injection
Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026
Header injection in camel-couchbase in Apache Camel allows remote attackers to read, alter, or delete Couchbase documents through HTTP routes. CouchbaseProducer trusts unprefixed CCB_ID, CCB_KEY, CCB_TTL, CCB_DDN, and CCB_VN Exchange headers, while HttpHeaderFilterStrategy blocks only Camel-prefixed names, so client values override document identifiers, expiry, and view selection. Affected releases are 4.0.0 through 4.14.7, 4.15.0 through 4.18.2, and 4.19.0 through 4.20.0; exploitation requires an HTTP consumer ahead of a Couchbase producer, with authentication governed by that consumer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
