CVE-2026-46581Network attack vector

Restricted file disclosure via remote Facelet inclusion

Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

Remote Facelet inclusion in Eclipse Mojarra 2.3 through 5.0 allows remote attackers to read server-accessible restricted files. DefaultFaceletFactory accepts an attacker-controlled remote URL without sanitizing or blocking it, then includes and processes the retrieved Facelet with server privileges. Reachability requires an application path that passes request-controlled input to a Facelet include; successful use exposes files readable by the server process.
