Subscriber-level stored XSS via unescaped report link
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress 3.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via link. The report-creation path saves the link parameter without sufficient sanitization, and the report CPT metabox prints the saved link without output escaping. Subscriber access is sufficient; the script runs whenever a user opens the injected report page and can act in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
