Stored XSS via unsanitized video source URI
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Stored XSS in HAXTheWeb HAX CMS before 26.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a viewer's browser. The video-player source and source-data attributes accept javascript URI schemes without validation and render them as executable content. A low-privileged author must store a crafted page and another user must view it, exposing browser-held JWT tokens and enabling session hijacking.
