CVE-2026-46490Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via unescaped SAML attributes

Published Jun 8, 2026 · Updated Jun 8, 2026

XML injection in samlify before 2.13.0 allows remote authenticated users to add trusted authorization attributes to signed SAML assertions. The replaceTagsByValue function escapes quoted attribute placeholders but inserts AttributeValue element text raw, permitting XML markup that closes the value and adds attributes before signing. Exploitation requires an IdP that builds assertions from attacker-controlled profile values and an SP that authorizes roles or groups from those attributes.
