Credential cloning via backdoored card authentication
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Inadequate encryption in CASFID NFC Wristbands using the FM11RF08S variant allows physically proximate attackers to recover keys and clone cards. The FM11RF08S authentication design contains a hardware backdoor whose cracked key lets the Backdoored Nested Attack recover every user-defined card key. A few minutes of physical card access is required; recovered keys expose the complete wristband contents and permit credential cloning, attendee impersonation, and fraudulent balance use.
