Application crash via zero-channel MP4 audio track
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Division by zero in GStreamer Good Plug-ins before 1.28.2 allows attackers to crash an application via a crafted MP4 audio track. In the isomp4 qtdemux_parse_trak function, a zero audio-channel count from MP4 atom data reaches a division operation without a nonzero check. The affected plug-in must parse attacker-controlled MP4 content, and exploitation interrupts only the hosting application without reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
