Database compromise via unescaped password update
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
SQL injection in Alinto SOGo before 5.12.7 allows remote authenticated users to alter its database through password changes. The changePasswordForLogin method inserts the new cleartext password into a quoted UPDATE string without adaptor-aware parameterization. Exploitation requires an SQL-backed PostgreSQL or MariaDB user source and none, plain, or cleartext password storage; injected SQL can read or modify database data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
