Authenticated code execution via extension-only upload validation
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in HAXcms PHP allows remote authenticated users to write attacker-controlled files via the saveFile endpoint. HAXCMSFile.php accepts a filename when its final extension matches a regex, saves the upload before checking its MIME type, and lets bulk-import mode bypass is_uploaded_file(). Code execution requires a web-server configuration that interprets a disguised PHP payload, while exploitation still requires valid site and user tokens.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
