Credential theft via permissive hostname substring checks
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
SSRF in @haxtheweb/open-apis before 26.0.0 allows remote attackers to steal Basic Authorization credentials via crafted API requests. Three server-side modules authorize outbound credentials when a user-controlled hostname merely contains a hard-coded trusted-domain substring. No privileges or user interaction are required; successful requests disclose secrets intended for trusted domains and can expose unreleased LMS content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
