CVE-2026-46384Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Denial of service via decoder integer overflow

Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026

Integer overflow in Ivan Korotkov avro before 2.33.0 allows remote attackers to crash applications via an untrusted Avro stream. Decoder paths narrow attacker-controlled 64-bit lengths before validation or add block counts with signed-int arithmetic that can wrap past allocation limits. Any application decoding untrusted Avro is exposed to cross-platform panics or cap bypasses; additional wrong-branch and truncation effects require 32-bit builds.
