Unauthenticated SSRF via IPv6 unspecified address
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
SSRF in Mastodon before 4.5.10, 4.4.17, and 4.3.23 allows remote attackers to reach services bound to loopback interfaces. The outbound-request IP filter omits the IPv6 unspecified address range, so a URL resolving to :: bypasses private-address blocking. No authentication is required; exposure is limited to resources reachable from the Mastodon host through its loopback interface.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
