Unauthenticated command execution via unprotected MCP routes
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Command injection in Decolua 9Router 0.4.30 through 0.4.36 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands through MCP plugin APIs. The proxy middleware omits /api/cli-tools/* and /api/mcp/* from its authenticated matcher, so cowork-settings stores attacker-controlled command and argument values and the MCP SSE bridge passes them to spawn(). Network access to the service is sufficient; the resulting process runs with the 9Router service account and can read or write host data, start processes, or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
