Local kernel memory corruption via premature DMA release

Use-after-free in affected Linux kernel versions allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through Topcliff PCH SPI driver unbind. The pch_spi_pd_remove function frees DMA buffers before its pending-message queue is flushed, so queued work can access released memory. Exploitation requires local access and a system using the Topcliff PCH SPI driver; triggering the teardown flaw can crash the kernel or alter kernel memory.
