Authenticated resource modification via unchecked UMA PUT
Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026
Improper access control in Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.4 allows remote authenticated users to modify protected UMA resources. The PUT handler for /realms/{realm}/authz/protection/resource_set/{id} fails to enforce allowRemoteResourceManagement=false and accepts resource updates. Valid credentials and a target resource identifier are required; the result is unauthorized integrity modification without confidentiality or availability impact.
