CVE-2026-46273Network attack vector

Network adapter freeze via unchecked small-MSS GSO

Published Jun 3, 2026 · Updated Jun 3, 2026

Denial of service in the Linux kernel ibmveth driver allows remote attackers to freeze Power network adapters via small-MSS traffic. The driver passes multi-segment GSO packets with an MSS below 224 bytes to physical adapters that cannot perform that segmentation offload. Exploitation requires ibmveth on affected Power hardware and stops all adapter traffic until a manual reset.
