System interruption via premature rspi resource release
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Resource-lifetime error in the Linux Kernel rspi driver allows local users to interrupt the system during driver unbind. During rspi_remove(), device-managed controller registration leaves the controller registered when rspi_release_dma() releases DMA resources that it can still use. Triggering the flaw requires local access and an rspi driver unbind; the published impact is limited to availability.
