Local system crash via unchecked allocation failure

NULL pointer dereference in affected Linux Kernel releases allows local users to crash the system through a DRM MSM metadata ioctl. msm_ioctl_gem_info_get_metadata() passes an unchecked NULL result from kmemdup() to copy_to_user() and incorrectly reports buffer and copy failures as success. Exploitation requires local access to an MSM DRM render node and allocation failure; the demonstrated consequence is a kernel crash rather than data disclosure or modification.
