CVE-2026-46201

Local resource exhaustion via dma-buf attachment leak

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Resource leak in affected Linux Kernel releases beginning with 6.8 allows local users to exhaust kernel resources through DMA-buffer imports. The xe_gem_prime_import() error path leaves the dma_buf_dynamic_attach() attachment in place when xe_dma_buf_init_obj() fails. Repeated triggering requires local low-privileged access to the Xe graphics DMA-buffer import path and can deplete kernel resources.
