CVE-2026-46181

Local kernel memory corruption via mlx4 SRQ race

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Race condition in the mlx4 RDMA driver in Linux Kernel allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through crafted SRQ lifecycle operations. mlx4_srq_event accesses an SRQ outside effective RCU protection and can dereference a partially initialized or freed mlx4_srq while its reference count is zero. Access to /dev/infiniband/uverbsN on a system using mlx4 hardware is required; exploitation can disclose or corrupt kernel memory or crash the kernel.
