CVE-2026-46125

Adjacent-network kernel memory corruption via stale station

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux Kernel mac80211 allows physically proximate attackers to corrupt kernel memory through a rogue MLO access point. On failed MLO connection preparation, net/mac80211/mlme.c resets the interface to non-MLD without deleting a station bound to the removed link, and debugfs recreation dereferences or frees the stale station. The path requires mac80211 debugfs and an attempted MLO association; exploitation allows kernel-memory reads, writes, or a crash.
